UX of Human Being
Join a 31-day meditation journey geared towards UX and other professionals. Transform your practice while exploring the profound connections between mindfulness and human-centered work. Starting January 1st, 2025.

"When we get too caught up in the busyness of the world, we lose connection with one another – and ourselves."
- Jack Kornfield
Agenda
The challenge
Meditate for at least 15 minutes every day for the month of January. You can meditate in any style that suits you and your life. This is about you learning more about you.
Support
This is my first time facilitating a meditation program, so I will be learning alongside you. That being said, I will work to provide resources, learnings, and tips to support you in your practice.
Live meditations
Live meditation sessions will be conducted via Zoom weekly on Sundays in January. These sessions will provide opportunities to connect with other practitioners, ask questions, and share experiences. Live sessions will be held on Sunday (1/5, 1/12, 1/19, 1/26) at 8am Pacific Time.
Cost
The cost is $31. That’s just a dollar a day! Plus, if you complete the challenge part of the program you can opt for a refund. Payment can be made via Venmo after you register.

Eric Cunningham
As a UX researcher and anthropologist, I spend my days exploring human behavior and experience. Beyond my professional work, I'm a meditation practitioner who finds joy in connecting with others on their spiritual journeys - which is why I'm excited to create this space where mindfulness and UX practice can intersect.
Weekly Themes
These are four themes to help guide your meditation practice and to contemplate how it might inform your UX practice.
Observer Consciousness (Week 1)
Turning our researcher's eye inward to observe our own thoughts and human being-ness.
Embracing Uncertainty (Week 2)
Learning to sit with what we can't control - a vital skill for both meditation and innovation.
Design Patterns of the Mind (Week 3)
Examining the recurring patterns in our thinking to transform how we sit with and respond to occurrences.
The Art of Release (Week 4)
Practicing letting go of assumptions to open spaces for new possibilities.
